Little Ridge Creek

The Facts:
Falls on Little Ridge Creek This series of secluded falls provides a very pleasant afternoon hike. The trail is of moderate difficulty and mostly easy to follow. There are three falls: the first a narrow, nearly free falling plunge of about 15 feet, the second more impressive fall of 25 feet, and the the third a short but quite interesting 10 foot cascade through a deep cut in the rock.

To find the falls follow the trail which parallels Little Ridge Creek for approximatively 1/2 a mile until a small stream crosses the trail. Continue another fifty paces or so and find a spot to cross Little Ridge Creek on your right. Pick up the new trail which follows the creek up to the falls.

Use extreme caution when approaching the falls!

Directions:
Take hwy 19 north from Dahlonega or hwy 129 north from Cleveland. 1.4 miles from Turners Corner (the spot where hwy 19 joins hwy129) turn right onto FS 443. Continue 2 mile to the point where Little Ridge Creek crosses FS443. Park here. The trail begins on the left.
